HTML to JSX FAQs
How do I convert HTML to JSX?+
Paste, type, or upload HTML, choose whether to wrap it in a React component, enter a component name, and select Convert. The tool rewrites HTML-specific attributes, closes void elements, converts inline styles, preserves comments, and returns React-ready JSX.
Which HTML attributes change in JSX?+
Common differences include class becoming className, for becoming htmlFor, tabindex becoming tabIndex, and other multiword DOM properties changing to camelCase. Data and ARIA attributes remain hyphenated. Boolean attributes such as required and disabled are emitted without unnecessary string values.
How are inline HTML styles converted?+
A style string is converted into a JSX style object. CSS property names become camelCase and each value becomes a string, so background-color becomes backgroundColor. Complex or malformed declarations may still need manual review, particularly custom properties and values containing unusual delimiters.
Does the converter execute inline event handlers?+
No. Inline HTML event code is preserved only as a TODO-style comment inside a React handler placeholder. This avoids executing pasted scripts and reminds you to replace legacy inline JavaScript with a real React callback, component method, or function defined in your application.
