JSON to Types
Generate clean typed models from any JSON object or array.

JSON to Types FAQs
How do I generate types from JSON?+
Paste, type, or upload a valid JSON example, choose TypeScript, Python, or Go, enter a root model name, and select Generate. The tool inspects values and nested structures to create interfaces, dataclasses, or structs that you can copy directly into your project.
Can the tool create nested types?+
Yes. Every nested JSON object becomes its own named model, while arrays use the inferred type of their first item. The generated output keeps relationships between parent and child models, making complex API responses and configuration objects easier to represent in strongly typed application code.
How are null values and empty arrays typed?+
Null values use the closest language-specific fallback: null in TypeScript, None in Python, and interface{} in Go. Empty arrays cannot reveal an item type from sample data, so they use unknown, Any, or interface{}. You can replace these fallbacks with a more specific project type.
Is JSON data uploaded while generating types?+
No. JSON parsing and type generation run locally in your browser. Pasted content and selected files are not sent to jsontoyaml.net or another service. This keeps the workflow fast and private, though you should still follow your organization’s rules for handling confidential information.
